How to set up a local build server to work with Dynamsoft TFS Hosting Server?

You can follow the steps below to set up a local Build Server to work with
Dynamsoft TFS Hosting Server:

[NOTE] If you are using a domain attached computer, please disconnect your build server from your domain first.

  1. Prepare a user for build: for example, create user ??06051_build??on both TFS
    server (in
    Dynamsoft portal
    ) and your local build machine. Make sure the username/password are the same on both machines.
  2. Add ??06051_build??to the ??roject Collection Build Service Accounts??group.

  3. Install and configure TFS Build Service:
    1. Run TFS setup and Finish.
    2. Start Configure Team Foundation Build Service and click Start Wizard.

    3. Click Browse??/strong> and select your team project collection.

      Note: please make sure you are using HTTP


    4. Set Run Team Foundation Build Service as to ??06051_build??
      ???????

    5. Finish the configuration and start the service.

2. Add ??05012_build??to the ??roject Collection Build Service Accounts??group.

3. Add ??2.15.153.156 TFSServer1??to the hosts file on your
build machine (under C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\).

4. Install and configure TFS Build Service:

  • 1) Run TFS setup

  • 2) Select Team Foundation Build Service to install.

  • 3) Start Build Service Configuration and click Next.

  • 4) Click Browse??/strong> and select your team project collection.

    Note: please make sure the path at Preview is
    http://tfsserver1:8080/tfs.

  • 5) Set Run Team Foundation Build Service as to ??05012_build??
    ???????

  • 6) Finish the configuration and start TFS Administrator Console. Go to
    Build Configuration
    and click Stop to stop the Build
    Service and then click Properties.

  • 7) Change the value of Local Build Service Endpoint (incoming)
    from the machine name to your public network IP.

    Note: please make sure the port number you used for the Build Service,? 9191 in this sample,?is not blocked by any firewall on your build server.

  • 8) Click Start.

    Note: please make sure your Firewall allows Microsoft
    Visual Studio Team Foundation Build Services
    to run both privately and
    publicly.

  • 9) Then you can follow the steps in the following guide to use your build
    server.
