Error connecting to through Server Manager.

Symptom:

After you type the server and port in the Connect to Server dialog box in Server Manager, the following dialog box prompts:

The dialog may hangs until you click Cancel, and then there is another dialog box:

Cause& Resolution:

Please verify the following things: 

  1. The service has been started successfully through SourceAnywhere Standalone Service Configurator: http://www.dynamsoft.com/help/SAW%20Standalone/Service%20Manager/Server%20Info/Service%20Control.htm
  2. In Connect to Server dialog box, please type the Server and Port which is specified in SourceAnywhere Standalone Service Configurator Server Info->General Settings.
  3. The port is not blocked by your firewall.
  4. The network connection between SourceAnywhere Standalone server and Server Manager is OK. You may use the PING command to verify this.

  5. If you are using a proxy, please click Option button in Connect to Server dialog box and type the correct proxy info:
