How to generate an LPK file with Dynamic Web TWAIN version 8.x?

Important Note: Since version 9, the license verification has been changed and the LPK file is no longer needed. If you are using version 9 or above, please refer to how to use the license.

Steps to generate an LPK file:

1. Make sure you have put the Web Server License in the Licensing Tool. You can find it in the program group of the ActiveX control.
Typically the licensing tool is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Dynamsoft\Dynamic Web TWAIN 8.0 Trial\DWTLicensing.exe

Please click here for more information about how to change the license in the Licensing Tool.

If you are using the trial version, please make sure the trial license is not expired. For example, if the trial license expired on 2008-6-11, the LPK file also expired on 2008-6-11.

*If you use an expired trial license to generate an LPK file, the LPK file would be expired and useless

If you are using the Full version, please make sure the license in the Licensing Tool are permanent (Never Expire).

2. Run Lpk_tool.exe on a computer that is licensed to use the ActiveX control. "Lpk_tool.exe" can be downloaded here. (If you are using Windows Vista/7/2008, you need to Run Lpk_tool.exe as Administrator).

3. Select DynamicWebTwain Class, click Add and it will be listed in Controls in the license package on the right side. Then Click Save & Exit, and name the file DynamicWebTwain.lpk

Some clients may find two DynamicWebTwain Class controls in the list. To solve this problem, please click here.
Some clients may not find any DynamicWebTwain Class controls in the list. To solve this problem, please click here.

If the LPK file is saved successfully, you will see the dialog box below:

NOTE: if you are generating an LPK file for the trial version and the trial license is correct, you will see the following dialog box before the above one.
