Returns or sets whether to use a TWAIN driver or an ICA driver of Mac OS X document scanning.
.ImageCaptureDriverType = ...;
This property only works on Mac OS and its default value on Mac OS is 3.
The allowed values are:
|0||It uses the installed TWAIN driver for document scanning on Mac OS.|
|1||Mac users can directly acquire images from USB connected scanners via ICA driver (without installing a TWAIN driver).|
|3||Mac users can directly acquire images from USB connected scanners & network scanners via ICA driver (without installing a TWAIN driver).|
ICA driver is the image capture core of Mac OS X. It can directly communicate with scanners, acquire images and transfer them to TWAIN applications like Dynamic Web TWAIN.
The benefits of using ICA driver are -
1) no need to install a TWAIN driver for your scanner on Mac OS X.
2) Generally, ICA driver - which comes with Mac OS itself - is more compatible with scanners on Mac OS X.
