Error Messages About Your License

Symptom:

When you are using Dynamsoft Camera SDK, you may get one of the following errors when you check getErrorString()

  1. The current product key is empty or invalid, please contact the site administrator.
  2. The current product key has expired on [Date], please contact the site administrator.
  3. The current product key is not for full version, please contact the site administrator.
  4. The current product key is not for trial version, please contact the site administrator.
  5. The domain of your current site does not match the domain bound in the current product key, please contact the site administrator.

Solution:

For error message #1, #2, #3, #4

When this happens, for the trial version, you are still able to capture images but there will be a watermark on every image. In order to get rid of the watermark, you can email our support team (support[at]dynamsoft.com) and ask for a trial key extension.

For the purchased version, without a valid key, you won’t be able to play the video stream and grab images. Please contact our sales team (sales[at]dynamsoft.com) for help.

For error message #3

As stated in the error message, the key you are using is not for full version. Please use a full version key instead. The full version key can be found in the purchasing email that was sent to the registered email/purchaser’s email.

For error message #4

As stated in the error message, the key you are using is not for trial version. Please use a trial version key instead.

For error message #5

As stated in the error message, the key is not binding to the correct domain. Please make sure you have done the binding correctly.
